A STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE, A SIGN OF PROFESSIONALISM.

Sailing Excellence offers an extensive range of tidal, RYA sailing courses from our base in Cadiz, Spain. Sailing courses for beginners to the more expert are available throughout the year. The Royal Yachting Association (RYA) is the national governing body for watersports in the United Kingdom and is respected worldwide.

Our standards are maintained in two ways: A). By only employing instructors who have been trained by the RYA and are now working independently and (B). The company director makes sure that he spends a day out on the water with every instructor to ensure they follow the company’s teaching procedures.

All our sail training courses have a maximum of four students onboard. This may appear slightly more expensive but in the long run you, the student, will get far more for your money! This is a particularly effective way to learn for those with limited time to develop their sailing skills, prefer a little extra privacy or require more individual attention.

At Sailing Excellence we really are not interested in cramming as many students onto our training courses as possible. What interests us is our ability to deliver quality instruction to our students and for our students to finish their time with us achieving exactly what they came for.

We ensure that you are onboard with other students of the same level and experience; if you come to us to complete a “Competant Crew” or “Dayskipper” tidal course then your fellow students will be of a similar level, this also applies to the “Coastal Skipper” or “Yachtmaster Offshore” tidal courses….we won’t mix you all up, it is not fair on you or the instructor!

Our aim whilst training you is that your level of competence will stand out wherever you sail in the world. “We know our business, and having learnt how to sail with Sailing Excellence, it will be clear that you will know yours too”.

For already qualified skippers there are a number of specialist sailing courses also available to develop your practical sailing skills. “Spinnakers & headsails” teaches the cruising yachtsman the finer points of spinnakers handling, rig tuning and sail trim and our “Cruising Instructor” training course is for those who wish to develop their teaching skills and take their sailing techniques to a higher level with the end goal of working within the sailing industry.
